Is it a must to get same server to host ? [web server + name servers]?

every server has a down time similarly name servers also have if we buy domains at a reseller whose [domain name server] is different from [web host server] then downtime adds up is there any host which has both servers with lesser downtime is there any SEO tool to find out ""uptime of host"" - please tell me thanks. . .

1. Lots of places offer both. For example, Network Solutions (http://www.networksolutions.com) I like this host, myself: http://www.bluehost.com. I think they also offer one free domain with hosting (or you can transfer your domain). I've been using them for hosting for a couple years, and I can't remember the site ever being down.
